Wells Fargo’s Response to Brexit? Buying in London’s Financial District
Wells Fargo & Co. on Monday agreed to buy a new London headquarters building, completing one of the biggest commercial real-estate deals in the U.K. since the referendum to leave the European Union.
The San Francisco bank bought the office in London’s main financial district from Slovak developer HB Reavis, which is due to finish construction on the 227,000-square-foot building in the autumn of 2017, the companies said.
Wells Fargo paid around £300 million ($395.6 million) for the building, a person familiar with the deal said.
The U.K. commercial real-estate sector has been among the hardest hit after Britons voted to leave the EU late last month. Major asset managers have halted trading on their U.K. property funds, while analysts widely predict real-estate values to fall.
Foreign financial firms that rent London office space have been a point of concern for landlords and property investors in London, where the skyline is dotted with cranes that have sprung up during a construction boom.
At the moment, foreign institutions can sell their services across the EU from London. With Britain outside the EU, they could lose this “financial passport.” If firms decide to move to Frankfurt, Paris or other European capitals, leaving behind empty London office space, property values could drop. Around 4% of the total London office occupier market could relocate, according to analysts at Swiss lender UBS.
Wells Fargo said it would move 850 employees currently in four London locations into the new building in 2018. The company said the move didn’t portend job cuts.
A spokeswoman for Wells Fargo, Kathryn Ellis, said consolidating the bank’s London-based employees was long in the works and would have happened regardless of the Brexit vote.
The move will allow the bank to “more efficiently and effectively manage our operations,” said Frank Pizzo, Wells Fargo’s regional president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Ms. Ellis declined to comment on whether a decline in the British pound factored into the decision to buy the new London development, 33 Central. The pound has fallen sharply in the wake of Britain’s vote to leave the EU, and the stronger dollar against the British currency would make a purchase cheaper for Wells than it would have been before the vote.
“Many have doubted what will happen to the real-estate market after the Brexit vote,” said Marian Herman, chief financial officer of HB Reavis, adding that the deal shows resilience “even under seemingly challenging market conditions.”
Last week Wells Fargo, the largest U.S. bank by market value, reported its quarterly profit fell 3% amid falling interest rates.
Wells Fargo stock rose 1% to $48.22 in afternoon trading.

Smart Loops MIDI Drum Loops Complete Review
I recently got the MIDI Drum Loops Complete library from Smart loops. Very impressive collection of MIDI drum loops. I'm taking down my "Drummer Wanted" ad.
Seriously, I can see myself using Smart Loops as my go to for beats on future recordings. MIDI Drum Loops Complete includes a wide variety of beats, fills and patterns. I was impressed with the fact that each groove includes a ton of variation. For instance, if you need a double kick fill, there are 10 different patterns to choose from. Making it very easy to find the fill that would perfectly fit your particular part. Some of the grooves have as many as twenty different variations, now that's awesome.
These loops are versatile and sound great in different tempos. Most of the loops are in 4/4 or 6/8 with some double-time and half-time feels. All of the beats, fills and patterns have a great natural human feel to them. They are very well played and can be placed quickly and easily into a song. You can listen to loop samples on the Smart Loops website.
I attached a short techno-metal track to the bottom of this post that I created using only Smart Loops MIDI patterns. It was done in Reason so the drum kit could sound better, but the Smart Loops patterns are awesome. The loops required very little editing and tweaking to get them to fit into my parts. I'm looking forward to trying these loops with something like a BFD2 or Superior Drummer kit and Pro Tools.

Seriously, I can see myself using Smart Loops as my go to for beats on future recordings. MIDI Drum Loops Complete includes a wide variety of beats, fills and patterns. I was impressed with the fact that each groove includes a ton of variation. For instance, if you need a double kick fill, there are 10 different patterns to choose from. Making it very easy to find the fill that would perfectly fit your particular part. Some of the grooves have as many as twenty different variations, now that's awesome.
These loops are versatile and sound great in different tempos. Most of the loops are in 4/4 or 6/8 with some double-time and half-time feels. All of the beats, fills and patterns have a great natural human feel to them. They are very well played and can be placed quickly and easily into a song. I attached a short techno-metal track to the bottom of this post that I created using only Smart Loops MIDI patterns. It was done in Reason so the drum kit could sound better, but the Smart Loops patterns are awesome. The loops required very little editing and tweaking to get them to fit into my parts. I'm looking forward to trying these loops with something like a BFD2 or Superior Drummer kit and Pro Tools.

Portable Vocal Booth Home Version Review
Editors Keys makes some really cool and innovative products. They recently contacted me to do a review of the Portable Vocal Booth Home Version. What a treat, this product is so cool, I was very excited to give it a try.
First of all it is very sturdy and easy to setup. I had it put together and on my mic stand in less than five minutes. Basically what it does is surrounds your mic with soundproof foam. One Month Of Building an Authority Site in 60 minutes A Day
I think it’s been a few weeks now that I started following Nate River’s WSO 60 minutes to $100 a day. I was about 2 weeks behind on starting this project due to the fact that I was waiting for my logo to be created from a Fiverr gig. I really wanted to brand my authority site so I wanted a catchy little logo. My niche is real broad and I love it because it helps me write articles easily this way.
I installed Google Analytics on my site about 2 weeks ago (when I actually started building the site) and I would say I am only averaging about 3 visitors a day right now. Which isn’t all that fantastic but it is all organic search traffic. Some visitors are finding it from the exact keywords I chose and some are arriving by a variation of the keyword.
It’s pretty amazed I am getting any traffic at all because so far none of my keywords are ranking on page one. I am curious to see if this will change in a few months.
So far no Amazon sales. I have had several click-thrus though. This isn’t too discouraging yet, considering I only have 10 articles up and of those 10, only 2 pages have affiliate links on them.
For now this is still something I can see myself putting effort into everyday. Affiliate marketing really burned me out and it is really nice to feel productive even for just an hour each day. It sure is better than doing nothing for my business at all.

Trying Fiverr Gigs Consistently To Boost My Sites
Man, with the lack of updates, you would think I didn’t care about my sites or earnings. Oh I do care about both of those things but with my earnings dropping to nearly 1/3 of what I was earning, money to invest in back linking aide was simply out of the question.
I recently read a thread on the Warrior Forum in which a guy was going to build a new site and rank it by just using Fiverr gigs. he built the site back in December and then once a week he would purchase 2 different Fiverr back link gigs that had two different back link methods (one was article submissions and the other was profile links). Well, his site is now sitting at #3 and last month it had earned $30 a month. Not too bad but he would certainly need to upscale that in order to make it a decent earning. I believe his site is just micro niche sites too.
In fact he used nothing but Fiverr gigs from start until finish. He used a gig to have someone set up the domain and install wordpress for him and then he used another gig to purchase 2 articles on his niche with an 800 word count. Here’s the link to the WF thread if you are interested.
Now, I had only discovered Fiverr in December. My main money making site had slipped from #3 to #5 right after the October Panda update so I had purchased 2 gigs to see if I could boost my site. One gig was a pyramid linking technique with a 3 tier system that was suppose to protect my site from a penalty but that was not the case. I got penalized within 24 hours of purchasing that gig; my site went from #5 to #23. Then days later i couldn’t even locate its position. It has been sandboxed for 4 months.
So, last week I purchased two gigs, one that offers to write an article on your niche and then submit the article to 20 different directories with some linking to the articles and then the other gig is another pyramid linking technique but it offers a 2 pyramid type technique as a safety measure to help prevent being sandboxed.
I am not sure which gig is the better one because I purchased them nearly the same time and my site is finally seeing some movement. It is now sitting at #35!
My plan is to purchase 2 gigs per a week until it gets its ranking back. Slow linking seems to be the best thing still!

Three Month Follow-Up Of My experience with SE Slingshot
I’m jumping up and down over here. Finally something good happening with my sites for now. As most of you know, I had some sites slip in rankings after the October Panda algorithim change and mainly the one hurting me was the site that was bringing in about $500 in sales through the Google Affiliate Network – but more on that further down in this post.

Some Good News From Good Ol’ Fashion Backlink Building
Well, since all my main money maker sites slipped off of page 1 in the SERPs and are currently earning 1/4th to 1/3rd what they were, I really started to research on what was the best method to go with to help recover those sites and get my income back. I read a few threads on the warrior forum and I found it very frustrating to hear some morons actually suggest to forget those old sites that you have spent many, many hours working on, adding tons of content, article marketing on, backlink building on and just walk away from them to build a new site. There was no way I was gonna abandon my babies. So what was the logical approach??? Building back links of course!
I am slowly recovering one site I have been working on for about 3 weeks now. As of the Panda Oct. 14th update this site in particular slipped from it’s normal #2 spot to #12!! So for the next 2 weeks I blog commented with legit comments through CommentLuv enabled sites and bought the CommentLuv+ premium plug-in and installed that on my site too. This helped because my site then went from #12 to #8 but even after a few more days of blog commenting, I noticed my site was still stuck at #8.
So what was I to do next?? I decided to give Build My Rank a try. So last week I posted 5 blog posts with BMR and now it’s one week later and my site has in fact moved up to #5!!
I definitely want to diverse my backlinking and I am doing just that so now my next step is I am going to write an article and submit to a few article directories. I will outsource someone to back link those articles for me.

What I Would Like to See in Kindle Fire 2
There have been plenty of Kindle Fire 2 rumors, but personally there are a few things that I would LOVE to see.
The Default Android
Seriously, the Amazon Kindle’s restrictions that force you to go through their own app store are annoying as hell, and there purely for their own profit.
Amazon needs to drop this and favor a less ‘modified’ android.
While I do understand why Amazon wants to snare you in to buying eBooks from their store, plenty of companies have proven how sectioning yourself off in the age of the global world is a sure fire way to destroy your business in the long run.
Swype
Swype is amazing. Cant get more simple than that. I would use the Amazon Kindle Fire more if I didn’t have to use the slow as hell peck and tap keyboard.
Swype would be the perfect addition to this eReader.
More Responsive
A pretty big issue I have with the Kindle Fire is it’s slow touch screen response time. It means that if use the Fire for anything more than eBook reading, I find myself suffering from a lot of ‘mistakes’ thanks to a screen which doesn’t always recognize my touch.
If Amazon decide to upgrade their tablet, the Kindle FIre will need a much more responsive screen.
Higher Resolution
This s far from the biggest of problems on the Kindle Fire, but sometimes things do look a little pixelated. Even a slight improvement on the screen resolution would be much appreciated.
So will I buy the Kindle Fire 2 if it solves all these problems?
Probably not, I rarely use my tablet, and when I do it is either to read books or watch movies. All of what I said above though would build a much better user experience for Kindle Fire users!

Samsung Galaxy S2 to get Android 4?
In a rather surprising but exciting announcement Samsung revealed that they are releasing Android 4.0 for the Samsung Galaxy S2. While it might take a while for this to roll out to all cell carriers, this is great news for owners of the device that barely missed out on the ice cream sandwich OS. One question on many peoples minds however is should they update to the latest android OS on their Galaxy S2, especially after the large number of complaints on the Galaxy Nexus.
The key point here is that while Android 2.0 Gingerbread is now a little dated, it is also very stable, efficient and rarely crashes. The good news is that early reports do include a high level of stability. This is mostly down to the fact that ice cream sandwich has now had a few months to be fine tuned, but it was a highly efficient OS to begin with.
While Android 4.0 is now more stable, many Samsung Galaxy S2 owners might not be looking to make the switch straight away. The new OS doesn’t really bring that many new features to the table, which leaves more casual users wondering whether the update will be worth the potential issues. For the most part the new android OS improves the look and usability of the phone rather than the features (although little additions like ‘face unlock’ are pretty sweet).
Personally, the new features (while minor) are well worth the update in my opinion.

Nokia PureView 41 Megapixel Camera Phone – No US Release?
The United States has been the largest consumer market for a long time now, but nothing shows the changing economy than when one of the worlds largest smart phone suppliers decides to leave out North America in it’s latest flagship product release.
The Nokia PureView 41MP smart phone beats the resolution of most high end cameras, and most of it’s internal specs put current smart phones to shame, but despite these features, Nokia will not be releasing their flagship phone to the United States.
All is not lost though. Nokia have mentioned that while the Nokia PureView wont be arriving any time soon, photography lovers will be pleased to hear that the 41 megapixel sensor will be released in the near future, albeit on the Windows OS.
